Triumph Daytona 675

I haven’t heard anyone say a bad word about this bike yet. It seems that Triumph have come up trumps again. For those that are interested, I believe Jack Lilley in Ashford (stood corrected) are getting one in very soon. I know that they have received several orders for them - and that’s without people even having laid eyes on the real thing yet.
When I find out more about when they are getting them in, I will update this post. Perhaps the jolly lads at Jack Lilley Ashford may like to comment. (The chaps at Jack Lilley are probably the nicest bunch of Triumph Dealers that you are going to find in this area…..let me be one of the first to test dive the Daytona 675, please.) Watch this space. My Triumph Tiger is stull purring - ummmm

Richard many thanks for the compliments.
The Daytona 675 has gone down a storm with the public we have already taken 24 deposits and I’m sure there will be plenty more. Having seen the bike in the flesh it is FANTASTIC and I can’t wait to ride it myself!! Anyone going to the NEC show at the end of October will be able to see/sit on the bike but be warned the stand will be swamped.
The 675 is the first middleweight in a sea of fours and with power and torque throughout the rev range it will be the bike to have in 2006.
We will of course be having our own preview evening early in the new year ( details to follow) and the demo should be run in very quickly (I’ve already had a few volunteers!!!)
Deliveries for any orders placed now ,are now MAY and I won’t be surprised if all 1000 bikes that are allocated for 2006 will have sold by the end of 2005.
For those that don’t know we have most models on our demonstrator fleet and you are more than welcome to arrange a test ride just give us a call on 01784 420421.
Don’t forget the new Scrambler is also coming out in 2006 possibly the ultimate commuter weapon!!
Thanks for all your support.
All the best

Hi Richard,
thanks for the complimets, well desrved though they are, lol. As Keeshan said part of the reason we can be a “nice bunch of guys” is that we have a great bunch of customers who recognise that Jack Lilley’s are in business through a love of bikes not just to makle a quick buck. At times this place feels more like a club than a shop.
The new 675 is absolutely gorgeous, even better in the flesh (or metal) than in the photo’s and as the only mid-weight TRIPLE it will have a unique character. At the dealer launch a couple of weeks ago we had none other a luminary than Phil McAllen (Multiple TT winner a and holder of the record for the most TT wins in one week) describe the bike as “the most exciting bike since the original Fireblade”. A mach9ine that Phil was instrumental in developing.
Once run in ( a process that Keeshan is going to have to fight me for! ) the demo will be available for all to ride, though priority is going to have to be given to those who have already placed their deposit. However I’m sure we will be able to squeeze in a few lucky individuals (send all bribes/ offers of sexual favours etc in a plane brown envelope for my attention).
Cheers
Kevin
