Good Joke

I would like to thank Mr Paul White (Cuddinton Carpentry) for this one:

A Zulu was dancing a foxtrot on the roof of a Ford Sierra whilst drinking a can of Tango when he got arrested by a policeman.

The officer got on his radio to base and said:

“foxtrot sierra zulu tango - you are never going to believe this…..”

Skiing in Bracknell

Posted in the category of Skiing by Dick on the November 10th, 2005

Went with a friend to the dry slope in Bracknell today. It was an interesting experience (and thats enough about Bracknell.) It is the biggest dry slope I have been on yet - which makes it a bit more enjoyable, a chance to get into a rythm. It is also a funny nylon type material, rather than the matting that I have been used to. I’m sure I will be able to find out the proper term for that. However it is very slippy which makes it a totally different experience…..I did watch someone fall over a couple of times, but I’m not going to mention any names. hehehe

I will update this post with suitable links shortly.

Skiing lesson

Posted in the category of Skiing by Dick on the November 8th, 2005

I had a lesson down at Alpine Snow Sports in Aldershot today. Nice chap called Clive was my instructor. I have to say he was very good and progressed my skiing along nicely. It was also very resaonably priced for a private lesson, and would recommend it for a bit of a pre-season technique tweek.

Anyway a slight improvement, so well worth it.

St Georges Day

Posted in the category of General by Dick on the November 4th, 2005

I meant to post this weeks ago. Join the vote I have copied a few lines from the site just to give you a summary. Do visit the site and lets see if we can get a bank holiday thay we deserve.

As you may know, other countries all over the world celebrate their patron saint or have other days, the closest to us and probably the most well known is Saint Patrick’s Day for Ireland! This day is celebrated all over the UK and also widely in the USA, what about Burns night for Scotland, for a well celebrated Scottish poet where the toasting of his words culminates in the eating of haggis, why then can we not have our own patron saint’s day.

We are actively campaigning to get ‘Our Day’ recognised throughout the UK and even to such an extent as being a public or bank holiday. Neither this campaign nor St. George’s Day Ltd have any affiliation or association with political organisations.
