Kevin “bloody” Wilson. What a laugh. My girlfriend’s dad took me to see Kevin bloody Wilson last friday……what a laugh. I’ve not seen him before, but obviously knew a couple of his songs. Well I laughed my socks off. As a tribute, I have added a special category to my online shop. So follow the links, buy as many as you fancy, and prepare to laugh.

I have just finished reading this little book by a chap called John Perkins.

It’s quite an interesting read, giving an opinion, allegedly from the “inside” about how the FBI and US government uses large US businesses to take over the world.

It becomes a bit evanglical towards the end, but it’s an interesting read. I have to say, it does make you stop and think a little though. I also have no doubt that larges parts of this book are totally true. I would say buy this book - it will if nothing else confirm an opinion that you may already have.

With the ski season fast approaching and the excitement mounting - I thouhgt I would preview a couple of books to get you in the mood. Whether you are skiing in the Alps, Skiing in Bulgaria or planning a skiing trip to Canada, I’m sure these will be of some help. Following a discussion at work - and I happen to think it is particularly romantic, here is the poem for (hopefully) a few more individuals to enjoy.

The poem used in the movie is by Pablo Neruda. It is Sonnet 17 of Neruda’s 100 Love Sonnets available in English translation by Stephen Tapscott. It is this translation that Patch reads in the movie. Here is the text of the poem in its entirety:

Having purchsed a Blackberry mobile a couple of months ago, I finally thought I would test it. This post has been created whilst on the train. Excellent. I will be adding some comments in due course to include useful Blackberry links etc…watch this space.

Having just purchased a Tom Tom Go I thought I would create a post in its honour. So far it seems to be fantastic. I have added a 512k SD card and downloaded various POI (Points of Interest) including all the speed cameras UK database. This is indeed, very useful. I will add some more comments on this shortly.
